In October 2017 the first class of 75 students graduated from the College of Education at Promise College. A commencement ceremony was held to honor the students in a in Msayfra, Daraa. And another 175 students graduated in Nawa, Daraa. The graduates are qualified to teach in local Syrian elementary, middle, and high schools. Almost 20 of our graduates have been offered jobs as instructors at local educational institutions.

A local cardiac physician has his heart devoted to helping Syrians.
Abdul Kawamleh, who practices cardiac medicine in Lake and Porter counties, is traveling Wednesday to the Middle East to bring supplies to Syrian refugees and assistance to medical facilities serving those who have fled Syria because of the ongoing conflict there.
